Wow, that's one tall order. As for question A.....get a Red Book. That'll give you the numbers for proof and business strikes of each year in question. B-D.....maybe some of the "slabby" guys will chime in....
ok silver eagles 1986- 5,393,005 UNC, 1,446,778 Proof 87- 11,442,335 UNC, 904,732 Proof 88- 5,004,646 UNC, 557,370 Proof 89- 5,203,327 UNC, 617,694 Proof 90- 5,840,210 UNC, 695,510 Proof I'm an enabler :crying:
Are we now co-dependent? Seriously, thanks for the help. I recently got these stats on another forum concerning the SAE 1986 proof. The stats for 1986 are as follows: mintage: 1,446,778, NGC has graded 19,830 of which 884 graded PF-70. I know this is only one coin slabber, but the number of PF70's seems VERY low and by my math, NGC only found 0.0445 % of the total # of 1986 proof coins that they grade were classified PF70. I know they are stingy with 70's but come on man! Less than 5% of the of the 19830 proofs that they graded were PF70! Wonder how all of the other slabbers would fare in comparison on this particular coin? I will wager that their #'s are closer to 15% or higher for all the SAE proofs for 1986 that they graded.
