I have found a 50 Reichspfennig "B" from 1944. I am having a difficult time finding a value for this coin. It is fine condition, the only visable wear is the dirt in the grooves. (I have not attempted to clean it, since I have been told this could lessen the value.) I am new to coin collecting, and am now constantly looking for rare coins in the retail stores I work with. This one has been the most mysterious.
I show a retail price from a 2004 catalog of $2.00 in fine; $7.50 in ex.fine. Its made of aluminum & a mintage of 5.6 million.
