Most scales weigh a lot more than 1 oz, especially the top of the line ones. The better question is how precise and accurate you want the scale to be. Also, I'm assuming you are looking for a digital scale?
This scale goes to 120 grams with .001 gram readability and repeatability. you can backtrack on the URL to the home page and see others. I mainly use a digital balance good to .01 gram, but if needed I have a older Mettler lab balance good to .0001 gram for doing specific gravities and weighing expensive stones, but it is a real pain to use! http://www.scalesgalore.com/acculab_vicon_scales.htm Jim
