Got another 2009 D FORMATIVE YEARS, in change! Seems as though these are circulating and fast... So I have 2 D Formative Years from change 5 D log cabins from change 8 P Log Cabins, purchased on ebay 17 D Log Cabins, cherry picked from a roll And I sold 65 Log Cabins, Denver Mint Mark, most BU, some EF-AU, for $5 for the whole lot I'm hoping to get another box of pennies tonight, maybe I'll find s'more formative years pennies?? Who knows??
Didn't get my box of pennies... My mom just likes to lolly-gag around... She won't take me to security service, to return the coins, so I can go to another bank to buy coins... She just wants to return them, and that is it... URGGG We passed the bank 3 times today too!
Here in Southern California, I have yet to find any... But, it took a little while for me to get a Log Cabin.
Picked up formative year at 3 different locations in Houston today. It looks like, at least in Houston, they are circulating. I have also found 2 2009 D dimes.
I think it is a Texas thing! Bob, another houston'er found a bunch of 09 dimes! But they were P's Sell those D dimes on ebay
We came across one hundred rolls in Idaho at the grocery store we work at. Are the banks circulating these? I was under the impression they were not going to. 100 rolls formative years D
I picked up 21 rolls of formative year 2009 D pennies at a bank. I've sold a couple of them, don't know what to do with the rest. I get at least 1 Log Cabin and/or Formatives in nearly every single roll I search from the bank
My sister went to remote Alaska with her church group for a few weeks. I gave her about 300 or so Log Cabin Cents to give away to the young kids there. She said they loved them and hadn't gotten any yet...... I wish I had sent 1000 now......:desk:
VERY cool Chief!! I'm arranging to be a Merit Badge counselor for the Coin Collecting merit badge and will be talking to the local troop soon. I plan on giving all of them a log cabin and a rail splitter for starting the badge and a 43 steelie if they finish it. Maybe something else. I'll post more about this when I do it.....
The more young people introduced to coin collecting the better it is for our hobby. When I go to coin shows I always pay attention to the number of young collectors....I think we are in good hands....ain't that right T$ ??
