    Hello all,

I am trying to find information on this coin, yet nothing comes up on Google! Can anyone please give me the weight/fineness origin and a brief history on this coin.

Thank you very much in advance for your efforts. Images of the coin are attached, and I apologize I took the photo's with my iPhone.

I'm going to guess and say it's a privately minted one ounce bullion round, worth it's weight in silver....at least that's what it says it is. :)

Oh hey, I collect these! They are fakes of old time money, silly really. Seriously not worth anything which is why you don't see them on Google and I'm probably the only 'collector' of these, if you can call it that, but I like them. If you are looking to get rid of this PM me and I'll tell you where to send your token.

actually, there are some of these that are 1 oz of silver.

krispy: The silver ones are not really fakes, since there is no real intent to deceive, that is sell them as a real rare date, and have a different legend on the reverse.

Yeah, I know. It wasn't a serious reply :rolling: but if the original poster can't even read and understand what is stamped on the coin, and use that as a basis for the simplest of research on their own, online at the least, then they might as well just hand it over to a total stranger. Do you think when they get a few answers that they like and proceed to list this on eBay that they are going to know what they are selling? Not very likely. And this will lead to people complaining about Sellers on eBay and the things they say in listings that are inconsistent as well as gripe about eBay's allowance of this stuff, or about those who buy from Sellers of dubious listings. Inquiries like this are rampant on CT. It's just unbelievable  that people don't think to perform a search before posting these kind of threads and are likely to believe anything you tell them. It was worth my time to solicit and confuse, force the original poster to question, the validity of responses they receive and if I ended up with a silver round for my effort, then the proverb about fools and their money applies.

Aren't inquiries like this the whole point of CT? People come here with their coin related questions to be answered...not given sarcastic replies. It's true, the OP could have probably found out more by doing online research...but then again, aren't sites like this online research sites? I don't think sarcastic comments designed to confuse the OP are really appropriate. Maybe if we provided him with good information instead of comments like these...the potential eBay listing would be a little less dubious.

    Krispy,

This forum is to help the young numismatics' trying to find more information on an item. And for clarification purposes, I am not trying to list this coin on Ebay. It is mine to keep for my little collection I have started.

And I did do my research, I looked on google and numiseek and many other sources. It was late and I figured someone who knew something about this coin could help clarify things. That is what I was asking for. I honestly did not know the information I clearly stated in my original post. That is why I took the time to take pictures from my phone, upload them here and provide an appropriate question.

profanity and personal insult removed Do not tread on others looking for insight. If I were a moderator on this forum you would have been warned and or removed.

As to everyone else, thank you for your support and continuing efforts in helping me understand this coin better.
