Hello, my relatives and I were browsing over some old coins of our grandmother and our aunt and we found this 1885 Morgan Dollar in it. We were just wondering if it was valuable Thanks in advance for all your help ^_^
Welcome to CoinTalk, Sylver. Your coin is a Morgan Dollar. It is a common date and is not particularly valuable in that condition. My estimate is somewhere between $15 and $20. It is a cool find with some connection to your relatives and may be the start of a coin collection for you.
The coin looks to be lightly circulated, its condition being AU (almost uncirculated). As such, it's probably worth in the $15-$18 range.
I would say the coin is about an AU55 still has some of it's mint luster left The obverse and reveres have the detail of that grade yes AU55. I would say that price range as indicated by Mark JC
Exactly what they said It doesn't demand much of a premium to it's silver value, and is worth around $15. Please tell us if ya' have more, and we'd be glad to help you find out values on those as well.
Thanks for the help everyone We were just done sorting out the coin collection of my aunt ^-^ They're mostly the US coins minted for Filipino use I'll stop by and share any interesting finds ^_^
