1955 Doubled Die... Very rare ($1,000+ coin) 1913 V Nickel... EXTREMELY RARE (If you have one of those... HUBBA BUBBA!) Look for 1909 S VDB's, 1914 D, 1931 S wheat cents, and much more.... I would really suggest getting the 2010 RecBook, as it will help you grade and determine value to your coins
Went through what apears to be her "special coins" found a worn barber, and some liberty quarters, and these pennies... the multi colored penny's center is very silver shiny... on both sides. Mint issue? or did some one spill solder on it while fixing electrical work? lol... the second penny has weird rainbow effect, and none of the colors ever show up on the scanner...
You can go to the library and borrow a red book or older edition of this http://www.amazon.com/Official-Red-...=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1246334949&sr=1-5, I think most of your grandmother's coins are relatively common, no need to buy a new book, prices for most of those coins haven't changed much unless it's really rare in uncirulated condition. The book will tell you which coins are valuable.
So the coins that are only worth spot/silver... what is the best way to get the most $ out of them? Knowing what they are worth is only half the way there... gota find someone that is willing to buy them or they aint worth squat. And that multi colored penny, apears to be stamped onto folded metal... there appears to be a fold down the center of the penny...
Take them to a local dealer, and if they give you a fair amount, then sell them. Or you could sell them on ebay, but just a fair warning, the paypal and ebay fees will suck you dry. (Not really, but they do take their fair share) OR you could list them here, on the open section, and see who wants them
