Is that a shank in the last photo? And what is that coin or medal with left facing portrait in the middle of the shot with bullet casings?
i detect paks around my neighborhood and i found a spot where old wwII barracks used to be and ive found bullet casings and silver coins there. No thats not a shank lol its a dart, and that thing in the middel of the bullets is a button i found
some of the rings i have found while detecting on the sydney beaches . the lot at the top of this picture are gold, the rest are mostly silver, this picture was taken about 4 years ago, i've added to the gold rings and put another 2 "chains" of silver rings together since then. mike.:secret: ps. the chains the rings are on were also found on the beach.
these are the gold rings. on this chain are 9ct,14ct and 18ct rings, a short while ago i weighed each ring individualy and converted them to pure gold, the total weight came to 330 grams after making a small allowance for those that had gemstones in. mike.
a couple of pictures of an english half crown dated 1829 found in centenial park, sydney, australia, the king is george the 4th, (son of the bloke with whom your lot had a punch up back in 1776) mike. ps yes i cleaned it
this is a coin i found back in england in 1995 in the county of derbyshire, it is a "hammered voided long cross silver penny of king henry the 3rd minted between 1247 and 1272 AD, not the best pictures but i'll try to do better next time. mike. ps. henry the 3rd was the son of king john ( of robin hood fame) he was as big a ba**ard as his dad. :goofer:
Nice finds, Mike! In my collection I actually have a 4-coin set of the Henry III pennies from the Colchester Hoard, discovered in the early '70s. Very cool!
Ok you guys, I recognize some of those gold rings. I will pm my address and ID the rings for you. Just kidding! Man, those are some awesome finds from both of you. Very cool.
