I got in a shipment of halves and saw that 4 of the rolls had a silver one on the end. I bought them into my drawer and opened them and one of the rolls had 2 in it so I got a total of 5 silver Kennedy's (64,65,67,68,69) today. Of course I bought them from my drawer. I like it when the silver ones are in the end of the roll so I can see them!
Thanks. Good to me. They probably are no big deal to others though. Considering everything I've gotten I've paid face for out of circulation I'm happy with what I have. I also got a wheatie today and a Mexican coin of some sort. Yesterday I got another foreign coin in not great condition that I'm not sure what it is yet. Also today from a fast food restaurant in change I got a $1 serial number 64644464 Worth keeping?
Maybe try your luck in the open forum to gain an extra buck or 2? Or keep it if it is your first binary.
It's not my first. I have one all 1's and 5's. I may sell sometime though. I've never sold or bought anything so we'll see.
I must say I have been actively hunting kennedy halves lately and came across the motherload today! I got 3 rolls at a local bank today and got 3 1964 silver halves and 18 40% Silver Kennedys!!:smile On top of that last week I got 4 rolls from a different bank where someone had just dropped off about $100 worth of Ike Dollars and Kennedy halves... ended up getting 2 63 Franklin halves, 2 64 Kennedys and a few 40% late 60's
I bet you were happy! I ordered $1000 in halves for a customer and he picked them up yesterday. I'm curious what he will find.
Oh yeah definitely happy! Although I didn't even think of just having my bank order half dollars for me! I have just stopped by different branches and getting whatever they had usually just a few rolls here and there. I would think that just ordering a bunch from the fed would just net you a bunch of searched coins but let us know if he finds somthing good!
Well mine was from the armored truck if your hinting to hunt down the owners and return them. LOL I found 2 more today!
1964 and prior are 90% Silver worth about $5 each, and the 65-69's are 40% Silver, worth about $2 Each, just in melt value.
