Whats the #1 coin on your want/get list I'm looking for a nice example of this coin.....just wish it was a "strawberry".....:bow::bow::bow::bow:
There aren't any coins I'm saving up for, most of the coins I want are within reasonable reach right now. Just trying to find them, however, is another story altogether! If a nice 1952S NGC MS-64 FBL came my way, I would pay ridiculous amounts for it.
I'm saving up for a Liberty Head Half Eagle gold coin, no specific date/mintmark as long as its from 1899 or older in AU/MS condition. It will be my first gold coin.
There's a nice MS65 Barber half that is toned apple green and orange that I really like at my friend's shop. My problem is saving my life when I buy it and the wife see's it that worries me. Guy~
Great question: My wish list includes: o 1932 D quarter. The only washington quarter I don't have (discounting the current year which I'm still compiling) o 1899 Indian $5 silver certificate note (I just love this note, it is beautiful!) o Pilgrim commemorative (I have some old commemoratives in a Dansco with many holes, but I really like this coin) o Of course, I'd really like to complete my merc collection (only missing the 16d) and my lincoln collection (only missing the 09 s vdb and the 14d), but these are way out of my price range currently and in the forseeable future Bob
Been window shopping some $10 Eagles (Indian head) & $20 Double Eagles both Liberty and St Gauden's types. No specific dates on anything, AU grades or a low MS if the price is right. Also got a couple of early 20th Century Commems I've always wanted to pick up too... but not naming them yet. Right now, just saving for those old gold beauties.
"What Coin Are You Saving Up For ?? " I don't save up for specific coins, per-se. I have a coin fund that I add to every month, and I purchase coins that appeal to me -- sometimes they are for my type set, sometimes for my large cent collection, sometimes they fill holes, other times they are upgrades.
1921 D walker in Fine and 1928 Peace in AU Those are the last two coins for their respective sets, then i can go back and work on my Barber Sets (half, quarter and dime)
A nice MS-63-64 1859 Indian Cent , or A MS-63-64 Barber Half . But once I get in a shop or show it could be anything . rzage
Thanks, but that coin must have a problem or something. I seem to recall having seen it for sale several times in various places. Its not very attractive. Thanks for the heads-up though
