    Hello everyone,

I am posting this from my iPhone so I don't know if it will be displayed propperly.

I have been reading aboutcoin grading, numismaticts, and manillas. I have been reading a lot but would like to dive in deeper. I am very interested in why that coin was struct. What was the significance of that art bar or art coin. I don't know if I am making myself clear or not but I want to learn about the history envolVed in the item. How can I further educate myself?

I would first suggest looking for interent sites/articles on your coins of interest, and next, consider books. A web search might yield some very useful information.

If you mean to educate yourself and not attend courses, books as noted above go a long way to explaining coin designs, history, etc. Certain countries/empires/civilizations are covered quite well. It shouldn't take long using google to narrow down some sources for whatever specific area you wish to concentrate on. For some areas, however, books are sparse and/or very expensive. With searching this will also soon become evident. Finding the right numismatic book can be as daunting as finding the coins.

Thank you all for the responses. I certainly will look into the college classes as I am a full time student right now. So you suggest I find a book in the time frame I wish to study? I see there is a lot of history involved which in turn could make you a history buff :p
