A girl who works in the local Xtra Mart pulled me aside today to show me what someone gave in change today, (she saves wheats for me) and I must say I was mildly shocked, here is the list.. 1988s and 1992s Kennedy Half 3-1992s and 1- 1991s Quarters 1-1992s and 3- 1988s Nickels 13- 1988s to 1992s Dimes all Cameo Proof freshly cracked out of their holders, no problems except one nickle and one quarter that had fingerprints on them. One 88 dime had beautiful toning on it. She plans to save them for her daughter. I know they are of modest value, and probably hot, but they certainly made her day.
unfortunately more often than not when it's proofs like this, they are stolen and being spent to keep the theft from being discovered.
