I have inherited a set of 20 coins. I went to have these coins appraised and they gave me a ballpark of around $1000. Below I will post the list. If there are any questions of comments, please feel free to contact me because I would like to know more about what I have.

when you say "inlaid in gold pendant" are you saying the coin(s) have been turned into jewelry?

PS: this thread may get moved down the page to the for sale forum. If it disappears look for it there.

they are inlaid and can be removed easily. Also, I would appreciate if it would stay in "whats it worth" because I want to know what people think they are worth before I sell.
    thanks

This forum "Whats It Worth" can be used to ask questions on how much coins are worth...but can not be used to offer things for sale.

Well the reason bohica made the comment he did is because offers to buy, sell or trade are not permitted here. But that's not what you're really trying to do - so your post can stay ;)

Most of the coins you have listed have a value based on bullion content only - that means they worth what the metal is worth at any given time. It changes from hour to hour. They don't really have any numismatic value.

So if you were told they worth about $1000 - then that's about all they are worth.

All but 1 of your coins are Noncirculating Legal Tender, NCLT, or commerative issues. Less polite descriptions include MMJ for Modern Mint Junk. The certificates probably say something about the purity of the metal, the weight of the coin and maybe something about being legal tender in the country of issue.
If I have time I will go thru your list today and see what the Krause Standard Catalog Of World Coins has to say about values.

    PM sent!

Now the disclaimer: my source is the 2003 Standard Catalog of World Coins - 30th Edition. There have been at least 2 updates so the values I quoted might be a little off.
Don't shake my PM under your dealers nose saying "bohica says these are worth a lot more than you've offered" unless you want to look stupid. First he'll tell you to sell them to bohica (no thanks, I don't collect NCLT's) and then he'll tell to get out and not come back.
Krause says NCLT's are " Marketed at prices substatially in excess of face value" meaning they are over-priced. Keep this in mind when looking at the UNC & PROOF values I PM'd.
If you've got any questions about what I sent let me know.

Personally, I like MMJ as long as it's gold.
