Is there interest in adding a new club to the clubs section. I think there are enough people here who collect Franklins to keep the club vibrant. How does one start a club?
We've talked about this before but it has been quite some time ago - probably time to do it again The coin clubs listed here on Coin Talk are just that - coin clubs. They have no afiliation with Coin Talk really other than the fact that Coin Talk hosts a private place for the members of those clubs to talk to one another if they wish. And if CT were to disappear tomorrow - the clubs would still go on because they are separate entities entirely. They existed before Coin Talk existed and most of the members of those clubs are not members of Coin Talk. So - to answer your question, you would have to start up your coin club in much the same way that anyone starts one. A group of people get together and decide to do it. Once you have enough members to be a viable club and have elected officers, established your treasury etc etc etc - then you would have to contact Peter, the owner of CT and ask him about providing space for your own private area here on Coin Talk. Hope that helps.
