    Actually no.
    I have one in a better grade (AU-55) for my type set.
    But it's also a more common date so it cost less.

    This coin is for my XF/AU Capped Bust half dime set.
    I still have a way to go on the set.

    Very nice kanga! Early coinage is the best, in my opinion.

    Concerning scarcity of one date vs another in this series,
    they all seem pretty much equal (at least going by the price guides)

    Are some dates in general scarcer than others?

    If you go by the Red Book there doesn't seem to be all that much difference.
    But some of the varieties are a bit more expensive than the Red Book lets on.
    Check the pricing structure on the PCGS website.
    Probably more realistic with respect to relative scarcity.
