I thank all you guys for your advise and help....Whenever I have a question your always there to answer and offer advise...I posted the nickel I had found with clashes on the Reverse and a lot of you offered me opinion and advise...LaCointessa gave me a website to tell them about my coin and offer them photos, which I did....They asked me to send them the coin, and I did, and they sent me an email this morning telling me they are mailing my coin back to me and have entered my coin onto their website!!!! First time for me and have to say, this is really cool!!
Congrats, @SmokinJoe! @Bluntflame was the first to suggest that your coin was showing a clash and @Kevin Mader researched the clash a bit and gave us the link to Maddieclashes. I merely copied the link where you could see how to submit your coin for review. I never even knew of that website until you posted your nickel. So, I can't honestly take credit for recommending it to you. But I sure am glad all the world gets to see your name associated with that cool coin. Here is your prior thread https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1989-p-nickel-reverse.373840/
Congrats to you for mentioning me just as I was about to show what I believe is a 1989 collar clash! This is so coincidental! But seriously, thank you so much for remembering that small detail! I'm sure any other error or variety collector with a bit of knowledge would have recognized it immediately
That's a ridge ring caused by Die Deterioration.. as explained in your other thread. FYI.. Die Clash and Collar Clash are 2 different issues
Looks like a team effort ending in a successful attribution for a CT member. Certainly is fun getting a couple listings to look back at.
Well thanks to everyone who posted a message/advise, and most certainly thanks to Bluntflame, Kevin Mader, and you too LaCointessa !! And anyone else that offered advise or praise for the coin, thank you too!! I put the Maddieclashes website info and photos on a photo sheet and frame and mounted em on the living room wall...
