6 halves for $31.13 (includes shipping) = $5.19 each. Not bad....

The buyer got a deal, ebay made its money, the seller would have been better off just selling to a local dealer for melt value

this is what stops me from selling my perth mint "big coin" proof sets on ebay and the local coin dealers around here would only offer bullion value, i would rather leave them to my grand children rather than being ripped off by a coin dealer, but i still have them to look at, after all they are beautiful and (in my opinion) about the best looking modern coins going. mike. ps. sorry about me blowing my own trumpet but there's no one else who will.

Actually no I have not been watching e-bay. I did every day for a year or so and just got tired of not finding any deals. Not worth the time IMHO, I'd probably fair better looking through rolls from the bank.

actually there arent any seller charges for the next month. I just sold 24 mercury dimes for 35$, and I didn't get any fees. look it up on the eday news :)

Most dealers don't buy at melt. They buy under melt and sell over melt. This is how they make money.
The buyer got a good deal and the seller probably still made more than he would have if he sold to a dealer.

look at momssilvershop dot com under silver coins. They even have free shipping this month if you enter the code on the home page.

Good for the buyer in this case. IMHO anyone that sells on Ebay and has a fear or concern of possibly not making there profit should always put a starting/reserve bid.
