If you believe in Krause valuations, $9.50 Unc.

If Krause says $9.5, than I would say it's worth about $15.:D

Or a dollar three-eighty. Krause is off to the high side at least as often as its off to the low side.

'off' is relative...how does one evaluate how it is off I wonder? I was under the impression its an estimate of worth only...just like any other estimation...worth is how much you can sell it for and that is seldom a constant.

Ok, thanks guys. I paid my local dealer $10 for it, so it doesn't look like I did too bad.

BTW: Since I am lazy, nor do I have a krauze, can anyone tell me the mintage numbers for this? thanks

Also, wouldn't this be a proof, and not a MS coin? Just wondering.

This could be considered "prooflike" with a mintage of 20,000. The proof itself has a mintage of only 40 and a value of $1,000. The regular strike has a mintage of 5,980,000. If it is indeed the prooflike than it has a proposed value of $40.0.

Good price, I think. According to the Dutch Muntalmanak, it is €20 ($28) in unc, and €40 ($56) in proof. Your coin could be an "ex-proof" coin, ie. it may have been minted as a proof coin (see the contrast of the shiny/frosted parts) but was then a "loose" piece ...
