Couple of weeks ago one of the bank I use in south Alabama had a few of them. I got a couple and suggested to the teller that she take some to her father in law who likes to collect. I was not even looking for the cents but saw them when I was at the window.
In the past few days, I have received in change or found in our cash drawer at work both LP1 and LP2 P and D They are out there, you just have to look! At first the LP1's were scarce but I was able to finally get a P & D after about a month and a half after they were released. The LP2's have been a LOT easier to find - I found the first one (a P) about a week after release and found the D this week. Just this morning I found 2 LP1 P's and 1 LP1 D. I live in Cape Girardeau, MO btw.
I have received several of the Log Cabins in change at the store, gas station, etc. I haven't checked to see whether they're P or D yet. I just figure I'll wait until I have enough of them to do something with. In fact, the Log Cabin cent is the ONLY piece of 2009 coin I have seen/acquired so far this year.
