There's nothing special about this penny. What you're referring to appears to be related to the adhesive on the obverse.

 

Looks like glue residue transferring reverse image of another penny.

 

You know, looking at it again it seems obvious. Thanks!

 

Yea , darn glue sniffers ! Always glue , always.

 

It's a stubborn one to get off, too.

 

Somebody glued two cents together with flooring adhesive, then pried them apart.

 

Not an error glue e.t.c worth one cent.

 

Looks as if it was glued to another Cent in the past.
