1935-D Buffalo mint mark help

Any idea what's going on at the mint mark? I don't see any apparent damage but couldn't find this in the CPG and really don't know what to make of it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

1935-D RPM-002 imo. May be wrong, I don't do RPMs

 

Die stage C? Someone more knowledgable please chime in!

 

IDK about the type but it looks like an RPM.

I'm not well versed in these but possibly an OMM? Possibly try "Brian's Variety Coins" or "The Nickel Trader" to see if anything on their sites match.

Interesting the PCGS price guide says there's some value here (maybe $50-125) but I don't see much history on eBay. Either way feeling pretty good for the $0.50 I have into it.

 

Not sure why I did it but I bought one of these off of eBay as well... same die stage, same condition.
