So I got a camera with macro...

    Do you focus the camera or is it auto focus.

    thanks rlm's. I wasn't that close at all when I took the one of the Morgan. I was extremely close on the half, just because I wanted to try some without zooming in at all. Obviously that didn't help though. I'll play around with it some more at longer lenghs tommorrow.

    Man, this was so much easier when I had my brother's $600 camera.

    Maybe you were not that close, but that is what the camera was trying to focus at. Look at the "properties" of the pic. It states the focal length there.

    I'd take it to a camera shop, briefly explain your problem and hope you're talking to a nice person there. It's quite possible that by having it in hand, someone could figure out/solve the problem is in less than a minute. Act a little bit dumb and very polite, and that should increase the sympathy factor.:secret:
