I do go to that store pretty much every day, I work there first silver dimes I have found in the changers so far!
Yeah, I thought I might press my luck again there today during lunch. I have 8 wheat cents from that store so far. Let's see how long it'll take to get to 10!
My 1st Post I found 2 Lincoln Log Cabins on the floor at Denver International Airport last Thursday. I got a Formative Years in change in Indiana.
I found a 1943 Merc dime in my car ashtray today where I keep my change, I have absolutely no clue how it got there :thumb:.
I've recently found a 1969s lincoln cent, 1961 roosevelt dime in about EF condition but with some rim damage, and a 1964 canadian cent in AU condition. People seem to be digging down pretty deep into the coin jars these days and spending them.
With todays economy I often hear of people finding in rolls and change alsorts of goodies. A friend in Va. has been going every week to the bank with $500.00 in cash to buy rolls of 1/2 dollars .He finds lots of 90% silver and 40 %. Then he returns the coins for more the following week . Any one working at a 7/11 or convenience store should be in a honey hole from people digging out their change for a morning cup of jo or a pack of smokes. I love to be able to get into a coin star machine at a supper market.....I see people every day with jars / bags etc. of coins just dumping them into the machine. I sometime just want to say I'll give you a $20 for your jar!!!! Who knows what one might find!!! Paddy
In the last 2 weeks, I found a 1936 P Buffalo nickel, and a 1950-D nickel, both in rolls. About a month ago, a '64 dime (silver) in change. Still a few interesting things out there, but you have to keep your eyes open.
Seems as though people in change, and in rolls are finding more and more buffalo nickels... Hey guys, save some for T$!!!
4 star notes, was filing and counting bills! how do I know if they are valuable or not? three are 1 dollar bills (one 1995 MS) and one $20.00 bill
I found a 1943 Silver Nickel in my stores cash register yesterday. You wouldn't believe how many coins I've found through working in retail :kewl:
go figure I by a box of Formatives from my local Shell and I also purchase a Rockstar drink...I get like 13 formatives in change....
Congrats on the dimes.....awesome. I've never found a buffalo nickel in my life. I thought I found one a few weeks ago, but it was fake....
Thanks Bob, About a year ago a guy came in late one night and used a buffalo nickel in his change, this is my only one in my collection
Today I found a 58 rosie dime. I had a great box of half dollars last week where I found 2 walkers, 3 Franklins 6 64 Kennedys and about 14 40%ers. It was great fun. I've searched two boxes of halfs since then without a single silver half.
I also found a 1963 D quarter (in great condition) a few days ago, and i find wheat pennies on a regular basis.
