Pick this beauty up last week for a steal. 28 grams, .925 silver, .8327 ASW. I know nothing about it so anyone who does have some info please share. I just think it is a stunning item well worth to mention. Thanks for your help in finding some info on this medal. Joe
Know nothing about it but really curious if anyone here does. I really like that and now am on a search for one. If anyone sees one for sale let me know!
I had one of those when I was a kid. My grandmother got it for me during the bicentenial (33 years ago). I think it was either from the Danbury mint or Franklin mint. I remember that she used to order coins from ads in the Sunday Parade magazine and I think this was one of those. I'll have to search the basement for it.
Ha ! I was right. WOW! Thanks Andrew. Now we are getting somewhere, but also, now I am concerned..... You know how sometimes they make these sets in Copper, Pewter and Silver>>>>well, I wonder if I have the pewter one and my local coin show got the info wrong and was looking at the silver one??????? It doesn't say anywear that it is silver. Can anyone confirm this??? Not a big deal if it isn't silver. Only paid $5 for it. Still a nice medal nonetheless.
