Well it is not a Tet but it cost me 5.00. Phillip II with young man on horse back. Green patina with preservative for flaking. Thanks for looking. His old pictures in hand are better than mine...
At $5, you Cleaned Up. The legend is Beautiful. Kinda making it obvious, so that everyone gets it. Used to have one of these, as a lone representative of the reign. Now you're making me miss it....
New math? This does bring up a question. The tetradrachm was four silver drachms. The drachm was six obols which were struck in silver at one time and later as larger AE coins. I do not have a Phillip II set but would like to know what the exchange rate was between the silver tetradrachms and the AE units shown in this thread. There used to be someone here on CT that specialized in these Philip II AE coins and showed them with heads and horses both ways and a number of different symbols. I forget who it was. I am not a specialist but enjoy my coin of the common right/right variety.

@Roman Collector, Where did you get the verses from? ...I'm wanting to think Hillaire Belloc, or maybe something along the lines of 1066 and All That. Except, Honest, any help would be cordially appreciated. ...Well, Okay, you made me do this. About to Google it. ...Brilliant, Regardless of the source.
One of my favorite ancient to collect - they are abundant and can be had cheap - $5 is a great deal. While researching one of these recently, I came across this useful site with a very extensive guide to these types: https://www.ancientcointraders.com/philip_macedon_references.php Here are a few of mine. The top one has a somewhat barbaric look. The bottom one is bust left/horse right; it looks horrible in the photo, but really, it is somewhat better in hand.
Good deal on that one Mammothtooth! With a moniker like that you have to collect projectile points too? Philip II. 359-336 B.C. AE unit Uncertain Macedonian mint, 306-297 B.C. Head of Apollo right, waering tainia ΦIΛIΠΠOY, youth on horseback right, monogram below.
