I met a new dealer today, after coming back from Trade Days at Fredericksburg, I went to, well I am pretty sure it was called "Lone Star Coins" and had about 5 or 6 dealers inside, that were all older gentleman, some in their 60's some in their 80's Anywho, the signficance, of all of this, is that they had pretty good deals, and I snatched up some coins to my liking! $50 for the 1904 O NGC MS64 $50 for the 1881 S NGC MS64 And I paid $45 for the 1885 O NGC MS63 on ebay earlier on, and just got it in today I will go to this shop from now on. I made friends, with two of the guys, and told them what I collected and what I had. They asked me at first, "Is this for your father" and I said nope, for me And we talked for about 30 minutes, and after that he gave me a price cut, he was going to charge $60 for both
:thumb: those morgans are really nice T$! It doesnt have alot of scratches like some Morgans. Good buy!:hail: -JefLinc
The MS63 1885 O, is a clean one for a MS63, and it shows, comparing to others that I own, and both MS64's that I purchased kick those MS63's to the curb! Thanks JefLinc
Good coin shops are fun....:thumb: I like the older owners better...they have better stories..... I'm not a Morgan Man T$ but you are putting together a nice set. Your storage box will soon be very heavy.....:hail:
Not the best strike in the world, but I will take it. It is a nice morgan, and I thank you for the compliment I can barely carry this NGC storage box, from the shelf, to the desk, and that is like a 5 foot walk.. LOL Thanks Chief
T$, nice coins! Is that shop in San Antonio? Any other shops you like in San Antonio? I may have to make the trip.
Just depends, you are not gonna steal my morgans are you? Just joking my friend... Yes, that is in San Antonio, it is called Lone Star Coins. I have not checked out many other shops, the other two I have are a tad overpriced! But these guys are great, and very friendly They have many many coins, I'm guessing anything a regular coin shop would have, tons of morgans and peace dollars, graded, and some just thrown in a bucket ready to be sorted through, amazing variety of large cents, and some nice graded gold pieces as well. I'd say worth the trip, as long as you buy something!
