Several years ago, I went to Austin to a State auction and bid and won on a group of coins. This one coin, an error coins, I put up because I don't know much about error coins. Please give me your opinions and advice.

A 1970S Jefferson Nickle struck on a dime planchet.
The coin is in BU condition. No marks that I can see.

Would it be worth having it graded?

Any and all advice will be appreaciated.

It's worth $400 - $500 in today's market. The planchet was probably intended for a Panama 1/10 balboa. These were minted in San Francisco on dime planchets.
