I've never heard of this error on this coin before, but just came across one where the last "t" in trust is clearly missing. I have pics but am posting this from my phone and it will not upload them for some reason?

It's a common error. I call it a filled die. Stuff was stuck in the t on the die.
    No real value.

Ok, thanks for the info... I'm a new coin enthusiast, so I'm still learning the ropes. Always get excited when I see something so obvious.

Yep. Struck through error. Sometimes the unique or extreme ones can bring a premium. There was a Kansas state quarter that had a filled T and ended up reading "In God We Rust". I've seen these go for a decent premium. Like I said, it either needs to be unique or extreme.

I was finally able to add pic... Seems pretty extreme to me?

    Welcome. :)
Looks like a minor struck through grease...not much of an added premium for this example.

Since it's so perfectly flush to the field with no evidence of the last T in TRUST. I could see this one going for fifty cents to a buck. Not a major error but a nice example of a filled die error.

I have a coin that the T is faded out but you can kind of see it

I have a wheat back penny that has the same thing, like you said it looks pretty extreme but it is probably just a filled die mistake and is not worth much, it is a very interesting find though! . 20210115_095409.jpg

Mine is also a pretty weak strike which takes most of the value it might have had out of it...

The Die was filled with grease in that area when thecoin was minted. Very common but neat.
