Has anyone notice that Heritage raised their "Buyer's Premium". It used to say "15% of the successful bid (minimum $9.00 per lot)". It now (as of June) says "15% of the successful bid (minimum $14.00 per lot)"
Does not bother me so much, I pretty much only buy gold from them and not counting numismatic values that starts around $250-300 for half eagles.
Well, it is not like people will just stop buying all together from heritage because of this, they will continue to make their money. I've never personally bought from them, but plan to in the future, but only if the price is right
people will or will not bid as they see fit, price is secondary to the coins if you want them bad enough.
For most coins, you are correct. However, there are several Lincolns that normally go for between $10 (the old minimum) and $14. With their new pricing, they either will not sell or it will be $15 or more. BTW, from what I have been able to glean, most of these coins are Heritage's coins and not consignments.
