Frank I seen them sell for $15-$25 in the Cheerio wrapper. grade by Pcgs or Ngc the last one I seen was Ngc MS-67 and I think it sold for $60.00
Not selling for much... http://cgi.ebay.com/Cheerios-authen...QQptZLHQ5fDefaultDomainQ5f0QQsalenotsupported
Sorry to be "not so nice." All I did was go to eBay and check the completed listings. I didn't believe the price in the previous post, and if they were really going for that price, I was going to sell the three I have.
I don't think that Frank meant that you were acting "nice" and "not so nice" borgovan, I think he was referring to the prices.
I wasn't taking it personally, but I guess my post does read that way. I did also want to offer a clarification on my source.
Not all of the cheerios sac's are different. There was an article a year or so ago where a few were found with normal tail feathers.
Ive never heard of any Cheerios penny being a wide am variety but here is one way to tell but this one is not a wide am either Snowman
Thanks, Mike. Sorry, borgovan, if I can across the wrong way. I meant, drat, I can't retire, not nice. Nothing personal, unless they were $50,000 last week and you (personally) crashed the market for them. Then, yes, it was personal.
jello: Hey, perhaps yu can promote it on eBay as 'rare reversed die Cheerios cent'. "Only one known to date (altho there could be millions more this is the only one known to date)" But I would leave out that last part, anyone with a brain would know that already. Let us know how you do.
I'm really curious now. For you guys who may have got them back in 2000 - assuming you actually didn't get them out of the Cheerios box, what was the going price back then for getting one?
Mine was found by my son he loves Cheerio.I glad he did not pour milk on it! :kewl:I wish I had also found a Sac but my cent will do
