haha sure. actually. DOT ='s just that... dot "dot" theres a tiny little raised dot under the date, found on the 1936 cent, and quarter, and also on the 37 and 47 nickels. NSF is the opposite as SF. also known as "No Shoulder Fold" and "Shoulder Fold". If you look on the Queens portrait there will be a strap on her shoulder or there won't be one. For the cent there are the 53, 54, and 55. the 55 NSF being killer expensive, and the only one I'm missing for me to get a full set. and the SF varietys for the niclels are only in 53 and 54.
and yes, the composition is a little dfferent for 51 - 54, they are steel with nickel and chrome plating.
the 55 and 56 on the other hand... those should be full nickel.. nothin to it.

You're going to make a Canadian collector out of me yet, lol! This gives me a lot I can look for, now, in my humble hoard. Don't know that I'll find anything, but you just made that collection fun!

Now...I have to impose on you further...do they have cameras way up there, in Canada, lol? I think I can find a dot, if it's there, but, I'd like a shot of that NSF, and SF, if you can manage those. In the meantime, when I get some time (after the witches and goblins go through all my candy...i.e., weekend), I'll post some of my 5 Cents so we can check on the compositions of those, as I think (maybe) my '55 and '56 are "chromies," too. And I don't know if that means they're tricks, or treats (how's that for timely? :D).

sure they make cameras, But my collection isnt wth me, Its back home. I think I might get a day where Im back home and ill do my best to get a picture of the 37 and 47 Dot nickel, and I do believe I have the SF and NSF variety's... I cant wuite remember.. lol all the 37's actually come with a dot, so if you have a 37 and no dot... I dunno.. slab time. LOL
the 47 dot brings a NICE premium at about 200 bucks for AU!

The first coin is a VG 20
the second a very fine 20
The third about a VF 20
remembee there is a different grading systrm for the Canadian coins they tend to grade lower in there standards.

Hey, Joe, thanks. Just FYI, that George V dime pictured on that website Cheryl gave me (http://www.worldcoingallery.com/) is in no better shape than my 1883. :)

  16. SNAZ, I finally "stumbled" onto this forum, again! AOL upgraded my tool bar, and everything else, and I lost contact with everyone! I am currently putting everyone into favorites, so I can open the , "what ever you call it", again! That is one of the reasons I want to learn to use IE, but so far, can't re-locate ant forums, unless I remember the full name, and my memory is less than a "nano-second long". I am trying to find the UHC site, with Snow's images, and info. I am stressing IHC's for a while, as I don't have any more room for wheats, and LMC's. Still room for Can small cents, the 1922-1926 group. Still many holes to fill
Hope you have been well, and happy. Not too easy, at least the happy part, what with the current state of mis-guidance we have in the current Administration!

HAHA! Dick, man I love hearing from you!
I've emailed you a couple times and I talked to Kurt also trying to find out where you took off too.
If you would like Dick, I will email you a list with some good knowledge on IHC's.
Let me know... actually... I think I'll just send them your way, chances are you won't see this for a while!

  18. Hello again, SNAZ! I just hit this one again. I lost all my url's when AOL upgraded my rig, and I lost evetyone!. I use IE as much as I can, to get used to that way of operating. AOL is so un-reliable, that I am going to contact them, and cancel! Too bad, because I don't remember all thiose addresses, and being blind, makes it hard to type in the right letters, even with good vision! That is the main reason for having AOL, today!
How have you been? I try to stay out of trouble, but not too lucky, there either! You have my email, add, but juust in case:
azbrushape@aol.com. I have Time-Warner broadband, but can't use the RR address, because i have never found out what my address is there. I used Att.net, but cancelled that combination. So Until I find something I can use, I'm stuck with AOL. BTW, before I forget, I am on fly-in-club, now. I bounce from there to coppercoins.com, mostly. At tiimes I go to numiscan.com
