Most OGH, are candidates for upgrades, the pics aren't 100% great, but you could have a 65/66, you never know unless you see in hand
Not the strongest strike, but not the weakest either, and with that toning, WOW! This is one beautiful coin!

I paid a little over the PCGS price guide for it. The seller worked out a layaway with me on it, which let me get it. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

its hard to say, i see a lot of contacts marks on the cheeks.

    but i'm no Morgan expert.

Yes, there are some light marks on the cheek. If I get a better scan I will put it up. As long as I have it, I will be proud to have a MS64. I think every time you send a rattler in for a upgrade, you are destroying a little piece of numismatic history. I have 48 different date rattlers now in my bank box. If I live long enough and get lucky enough maybe someday I will have a complete date and mintmark set of rattler morgans. If not, I will have enjoyed the thrill of the hunt for many, many years and my children will have a nice legacy.

Well I wasn't saying it was a sure thing, I can't tell, the scans, don't showcase the coin, as good pictures would, IMO.
But looking at it in hand would help as well... He could have a 65/66, you just never know, unless you pop that thing outta the slab and send it back! LOL

I wouldn't remove the coin from the slab. If you feel it could grade higher you can submit already slabbed coins back in for a regrade and see if they will up it from there. I wouldn't remove it myself if I wanted a regrade, that's asking for trouble IMHO.

If we had bigger photos we could access the grade. With these pics, I really can't tell much.

I agree there... Just looks like a 64 to me, but you can't tell, so I'll take PCGS's word for it

Well, that is an older slab too...and their standards have changed a bit (and typically, those changes have made the grading loser)...so there is a chance that it would upgrade. But, it's no guarantee.
