Cleaning a coin is a big no-no...most coin cleaners (let me say All coin cleaners) have some kind of ingredient that is like acid...it will take part of the coin with it...many think that because a coin is shiny it would be worth more...wrong...the best thing to do it NEVER clean a coin....now if a coin has PVC or such on it then you must clean it...but there are ways to do it that don't hurt it as much...but it still lowers the value.

I'm sure others will be able to go into this better than I can.
