I was checking out coppercoins.com, when I think I matched their example of a 1984D-1DO-001. It seems to have all the same markers. It even has a machine doubling on the MM just like the example. It also has the die gouge on the memorial column. What do you guys think? I am going to post a lot of pic, because my lighting sucks.

Machine Doubling. The prominent DDO is a P mint I believe not the D mint one.

I don't really see a match on the date. no extra thickness or seperation. The 4 show MD and liberty, I don't know.

No, there is a ddo for 1984D as well. Check out coppercoins.com, and then give me some info please.

I think the"LIBERTY" is what gives it away. It is an exact match. The 4 does show thickness and some seperation on the bottom part. It may not be as wide as the example, but their example is a worn-down coin compared to mine.

The 'liberty' does look very similar but the date I don't see it.

Compare the thickness of the lower part of the "9" to the top curve and the vertical part of the "4" to the diagonal part, and you should see that the ratio is not like the coppercoins example ( which is a class 6). The ratio shouldn't change as it wears. I think it is a normal coin.

Do an overlay of the date and mint mark. Pre-1990, mint mark location is a die marker for every variety.

I don't think this is a doubled die the 4 looks like a hit . I really don't see extra thickness on any of the devices/
What I see is a form of die deterioration doubling on liberty
