    No/ todays Germany. Back then Palatine-Simmern/ Countship. If you remember "Prince Rupert" from the English Civil War fighting for Charles I vs Cromwell....He was a Prince from Palatine-Neuburg. The reverse shield shows the arms of Bavaria/ Palatine. Its close to where I was born.
