I recently saw on TV 5 rolls of steel pennies for $100.00. When I checked on the Website, it stated they were re-surfaces. Is this still a good deal?

It's just as good a deal as my standing offer to sell a bridge in the New York area, connecting Manhattan Island to Brooklyn, for $500. :p

Seriously, "resurfaced" means "with altered, non-original, plated surfaces". In other words, not the way they came from the mint. Numismatically, that translates as "damaged". :(

thanks for the info, that's what I thought, but boy were they shiny!

I lost any crediblity for those folks after that one.

This is almost always a dead give-away that the coins in question WILL be overpriced.
