Goldstone: I guess you missed all of this. I sold 18 2009 P dimes that I got in circulation for about $400 total. I was the first to put it on ebay, and I did it after a discussion on this board. I did it as an experiment. We all guessed how much it would take, and my guess was $1.75. TMoney guessed $10 and he was the closest....the first one brought me $49. Since then Manny's dad found $500 bag of 2009 dimes and nickels (uncirc) and he has been getting about $100 for each nickel. The dimes are all over ebay right now, but he still has the only nickel. He just posted in the thread that we had been talking about all this that his take so far has been over $2000. Yep, it is nuts. Come October when we get these in change there will be a lot of people kicking themselves...
I'm looking for 2009 nickels, and dimes, DENVER MINTED... All I'm seeing is P's... Just wait goldstone, we'll have our crew that we have here, come down, and tell you about how RARE that these coins are... LOL!

Where did you see that it is still being minted? Everything I have read says production [or minting] has stopped for the 2009 year dimes.
Mintage of the 2009 dimes and nickels stopped in April. So, the mintage totals will be the lowest in the last 40 years, but there are still millions made of each. On another thread the correct figures are listed but it was something like 96 mil for 09 p dime 40 mil for 09 d dime 36 mil for both nickels........something like that (I'm sure I'm off). So low in comparison, yes, low? not really. Bob

The mint has halted production some months back, and the fed has for mysterious reasoning, not released it's reserve. Hmmm. Your going to have to roll the dice here. However, I would not risk wagering the asking price, I get better odds at the gaming tables.
And nickels are still selling for at least $70 each. I ant to do an experiment and see how much a roll goes for. On the other hand...nahhh I just got a call from my dad and he is in the process of sending me another 7 rolls of dimes, 30 of nickels and 50 rolls of the 2nd series pennies.
