2009 Mint clad proof set & silver proof set

Great! Just my opinion, but I don't see how you could go wrong there. These are a good buy in comparison to previous proof sets because you are getting more bang for the buck as stated earlier in this thread. Good luck to you, and don't be afraid to ask anybody here for an opinion. There are some super nice people here at CT.

four lincoln proof cent is now selling at e-bay for over $20.00 average. a set start at $40.00 average.

 

Does anyone know if the mint is selling a lot of the 2009 mint proof sets? I would imagine that it will be a big winner. I've personnally bought 5 sets for myself. Also, why hasn't the 2008 silver proof set been selling? The mintage is pretty low and they should go up in value as soon as they sell out. I find it kind of perplexing considering the sale of all the other silver coins.

 

They only go up in value if they suddenly cut off sales at the beginning of the year.

 

Anybody here actually GET one in their hot little hands yet?

I recieved a email that 4 of mine are on the way and the rest are reserved in stock. the first should be here thur, we will see.

i think the four case inserts are of the same with the presidential set. before use to be the cardboard with holes on it. which one is better?. i like the older version. but the older, those coins can be tone. hopefully the one kind will not.

 

When does just the 2009 penny set go on sale?

 

you can buy it at skyline coins. the company take out the 4 pieces cent set from the 18 pieces clad proof set. i think they sell it for $15.95 per set. that is without c.o.a. & mint box.

4 pieces lincoln cent set at $15.95
4 pieces presidential set at $13.95
6 pieces quarters set at $10.95
4 pieces include sac $, half $, Dime and nickel for $18.50

18 pieces from the mint cost $29.95

 

the mint sold 437,178 set of clad proof set on its first week released.

 

My 3 sets have now been shipped.

 

Are they sending the sets by mail or FedEx? It's been a week since they emailed me they sent it out.

 

Chief, are the spots, on the holder, or the coin?
That has to suck if you have three PF70's, then a PF69 there!

On the coin !!!! They are on the way back to Pitney-Bowes.....along with a long letter to the QC Dept. if they have one.

 

It really bugs me to see the mint doing this stuff again. I guess that quality control is going right back down the toilet.

 

DANG! So what, three PF70's and a PR61?

 

T$, I looked at them as well, and as Chief had mentioned, the spots are on the coins, not just one. The sets as a whole look like crap I really hate it for ole Chief, as well as anyone else that might get such a bad lot.
