VF-35, XF40 maybe is what I see. The reverse looks a little light, wear on the feathers on both wings and on the obv look at the hair details. It might squeek into the XF range because of the problem free aspect of it. Something about the rims I dont care for, almost looks like that they are to deep to the fields.
Easily a VF30 to me. Not quite as nice as the first, but still a nice example. The first one still looks weird around the dentils. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the input. I see what you are saying about the rim. However, as far as grading is concerned, I don't get how the first one would only be 5 points higher than the second. The details aren't nearly as strong over the entire coin, especially the eagles head, liberty's cap, and the stars. The second one looks flat, where as the first has a lot more depth. It looks like a 15 to 20 point difference. Do you think the second one has a weak strike? anyways, just my opinion...
First one EF40 Second one VF25 I like em' both, and the upgraded one is quite nice, but you can tell it has had something done to it, to clean it up a bit, but a lot of bust coins are like that. I think you did good!
