Just finishing packing here today. My plane leaves tomorrow morning for Baltimore. Going to take a couple of days off so the wife and I can enjoy the city. Then this coming weekend... woo hoo coin show!! Anyone gonna be there?
Dutchman - are you going to have a booth or are you gonna really enjoy your time here in Baltimore? I'll probably see you there on Friday.
Any chance that we'll get to say hello? It would have to be early since I tend to buy and run. I'm generally gone by 1PM at the latest. I know some people in here went to the March show but we never hooked up. My shopping list is set and there's only one coin I'll have to search for. That's why I can get in and out so quickly. - Early half cent from McCawley - Some IHCs from Angel Dee's - SL Dime, Stars/No Drapery from ???
Be there yes ... coin show no. I fly out wednesday night from baltimore airport. Wish I could have taken a day at least to visit the show.
I wish I could make it, I bet it's going to be a great show, plus David Bowers is lecturing on Friday, I'm sure that would be great to hear. Good luck everyone who's going, and have a great time.
A very slight chance that I will go. However, please stop by the Whitman booth and let me know how my book looks! [That is serious!] Thanks all.
Book!? You've got MY attention! Since I don't know who you are or your book's title, I won't know what to look for.
Hey, where ya been? J/K. But here is a hint: http://www.whitmanbooks.com/Default.aspx?Page=55&HTMLName=ReviewUpcoming_1208
WOW! I would consider your book an interesting and valuable addition to numismatic history and lore. You've got one guaranteed sale.
I thank you, my wife thanks you, etc. There is also the hard cover edition. Let me know how the display looks! And, ask for it, just to let them know that there is interest. Thanks a bunch.
Baltimore super short update time... The show has been slower then expected. Some of the dealers I wanted to see chose not to come to this show. That being said I did pick up some great pieces I hope to get some good pictures of this coming week and post. I also submited over 400 coins to NGC (yikes!) Lots of high end stuff around but the nice midrange stuff is nowhere to be found... strange... anyways back to work!
Book purchased at the Whitman table. It was located with all the other Whitman publications with the same style cover. Easy to find if you knew what you wanted, but nothing to draw attention to it. If it was supposed to have a special display, it didn't happen. But the people working there knew just where to go.
Dont buy an Indian Cent untill you stop by Charmys table, and Rick Snow as well, also for the Bust and Seated, see Dick Osborn.........
I was already on the road when you sent this. Never occurred to me to look where you suggested. That's my loss.
