Morning people. Just received an e-mail from our friends at the mint which states that my order for the 2009 Proof Set has been shipped. That's a subscription order folks. Looks like they're taking care of the subscription orders first. Any of you folks that have subscriptions get an e-mail? :smile
Got my email also. Now that is some quick service. Sounds like the new shipping center is getting their stuff together.
They were fast with the last Lincoln LP2 rolls also. I really think they have turned the corner on the shipping problems. Now watch the next item I order take months to get here!
I also placed a regular order for the proofs on the 2nd (couldn't get in on the first). It will be interesting to see when that one gets shipped.
I have a feeling those might take a while to get to the island. Let us know when you get your shipping email for that order.
I didn't have a subscription on these and haven't received an email, but I went to the site and checked the tracking. It shows the sets or in stock and reserved. The mint did take the money out of the account right away though which usually indicates to me from the past that they are shipping soon. Rock
:hail::hail::hail:.....My sub. order shipped last Thursday 6-4.....:hail::hail::hail: I hope the mail man is nice today.....:thumb: I sure wish he would come on...... .
Ordered 20 sets and 5 came today, 15 in process ?????:rolling::rolling::rolling: Just get a bigger box and put the other 15 in it......:kewl: Might be a good thing....:loud: cause the 5 sets that came in today are going back tomorrow !!!!!! These sets are horrible !!! Lincolns have scratches and spots.....all the coins have scratches and spots. I hope everyone has better luck than me....:eating:
Well that stinks..I got 4 today with my subscription. Got them just before I went to work so only quickly looked at 1 full set (without a loupe) and they looked really nice. Hope the other 15 sets work out better for you.
:secret: I'll look for them at the Whitman Coin Show in Baltimore later this week. at least there I'll be able to "look before I leap" and I won't have to pay shipping.
Got mine today also and not to impressed the coins looked good except there is a piece of plastic fuzz between the john tyler dollar and case. I supose if I send it back I will have to pay for return shipping which bites then who knows how long it will be before they send a replacement.
They use FedEx to ship it to the post office and the post office delivers it. If you have your shipping email from the mint their is probably two sets up numbers. Go to www.fedex.com. Cut and paste that number and put it into the tracking on the fedex site. Not sure why the mint had 2 sets of tracking numbers on my email. It happened to be the second line of tracking numbers that was the correct on. Give that a try.
