I have recently decided to start collecting Peace Dollars and Franklins for a couple of reasons: short series and cheap coins (with a few exceptions). I am going to post an image in the Main Gallery (see Mote Dai's Peace Dollar) of a recently acquired Peace dollar and see if I can get some feedback/pointers on value and grading. There are some bag/contact marks and some small nicks, but the hair details look decent and all the feathers are visible on the reverse. I know Peace dollars are notorious for weak strikes, but this one looks about average in that regard. Thanks for looking.
in my book it says that Mintage: 30,800,000 G-4= 8.00 VG-8= 8.50 F-12= 9.25 VF-20= 9.50 XF-40= 9.75 AU-50= 10.00 MS-60= 15.50 MS-63= 26.50 MS-64= 36.00 MS-65= 88.00 but book values r not accurate
