If you haven't seen it already and remember the grade...:hammer:

The coin has ample luster on the reverse which doesn't show up in the photo's. The obverse is lustrous (not as much as the reverse) with semi PL surfaces.

    It's in an NGC slab.

I'm not an expect with gold at all...but to me this coin looks like it has been cleaned because of the colors around the stars and other devices. But, since it's in a NGC slab it must be a market acceptable coin.

That said, I would say this coin is EF45...but again, I am far from a gold expert.

Funny that you should say that. I've had one other person tell me it was cleaned who hadn't seen it in hand because of apparently some hairlines he thought it had. It is orgininal, the coloration around the stars is how it was made, it is quite flashy because of the semi prooflike surfaces.

I bought it from mark feld, and he told me its orgininal so that's my stance on it.

    Kevin,

Don't see you posting much over here. I can't participate though because I already know the grade.

A lot of nick on that coin, but I don't see much wear. AU-55?

I cannot see it being a 58 with all those nicks, so that leaves a 53.

Very nice coin, it appears to me to be a EF-45. Tell tale signs on the obverse are the lack of hair detail above the forehead and ear, Liberty is joining the upper band multiple locations with most notable wear on the reverse being on the center and top left lines of the shield.

Seems like a low-mid AU. Nice price!
