tdec i am going to try this show.....wanna split a table, two cases each....my shift key is broke, no caps i think i can squeeze this one in gang, im checking
lol that happened to me about a year ago, and I had to type a paper . I used the caps lock button, but it wasn't fun.
I realize this is an awkward question but.....what would one's budget need to be set around in order for one to walk out satisfied? More directly, are there any bargain bins that one may be able to quench themselves on a 25-100 dollar limit? I'm trying with all the power invested within to make to this expo. I would like to get a feel for the financial atmosphere before I breath it all in. I've never been to one before.
Yes. I spent $26 dollars at the last show. I wish I could have spent more, but I still had a good time. What kind of coins are you interested in?
Currently, that is a question I can not begin to answer. I can tell you that i've lost my drive for lincoln cents for the moment, i'd like to move into something simpler, perhaps kennedy halves or american eagles. But if I act anything like I do in a Super Market or 7-eleven then i will probably walk in without a purpose and walk out with something cheap and colorful
Well, I would think you could certainly find a nice coin or 2 like that for $50-$100. There are so many dealers at these shows, I've always been able to find what I was looking for at a fair price.
Any dealers out there been to this show? If so, what was it like from a selling standpoint? Just curious, since I don't have anything going on that weekend, I'm considering it but need more info. Thanks.
So, any updates on your plans guys? At the moment I'm still planning to go that Friday. Not 100% though.
I'm going to pass this time, too tough of times and too expensive this year, but perhaps next year. Thanks for all the info though.
St. Charles coin show Does anyone know what the admission is to get in ? I live about 5 miles from the convention center, this will be my first at a coin show.
I'm 99.9% sure its free. And the most I've ever paid is a dollar. They used to get you on the parking, but the last couple of years there hasn't been any fee for parking either at the shows at the St. Charles Convention Center. If you happen to go on the same day I go we should meet up and chat for a few minutes.
Unexpected expenses keep popping up for me. If it continues to happen I may not be able to go. At the moment I still plan to though.
Yeah. Thats what I had to do at the show back in February. I only spent $26 on coins, but I still had a good time.
This is really bad luck. I could only go on the 25th, and that's exactly the day I'm planning to move the big stuff into my new apartment (I wouldn't ask people to help me on a Sunday). So I guess I'll be hauling and cleaning instead of looking at coins :crying: I was really looking forward to my first show.
I'm sorry to hear that Luis. I am now 99.9% positive that I'll be at the show on the afternoon of the 24th. So if anyone is going to be there and would like to meet in person and talk coins for a few minutes just PM me.
