Thought you would get a kick out of this. http://cgi.ebay.com/HUGE-BAG-OF-238...66:2|39:1|72:1205|240:1318|301:0|293:3|294:50
And I'm sure he didn't search these for his personal collection either. There's probably an 09-S VDB he missed! LOL
I bet there are tons of goodies in there! 2386 out of 2387 pennies are 1957 D.... LOL! Lets see if somebody bids...
They may have a coin counter if they are a shop, and I see nothing to make them any different than most of the "unsearched" sellers. Actually , the price is better than most. Jim
I like the way these folks know they are wheat cents without searching them. Anyhow that is not a bad starting price . Less than a nickel apiece. If I did not mind using pay pal again, I might bid on them. I need some Wheaties to finish filling up my glass pig that I have been working on for years. May do it anyhow. Thanks for the post. Thanks for that information Arizona Jack. Temptation , temptation what will I do?
With no Memorials it's easy to know how many coins make up a certain weight, but how on earth does one accomplish that?
Before I talk myself into making a bid, what are common wheat cents going for these days. I see the bid on one of these bags is like $150. If my calculator and head is working that is like 6.5 cents apiece.
well I got one of the bags for $99. Surprised I did not get sniped. Will repost here sometimes in the future to let everyone know what I think. I did find a 1917d wheat in my monthly change bucket today and made my 900 post. Maybe this is a good sign or maybe not.
That lot sold for just a tad over 4 cents a coins shipped. Not a bad deal. I sell them myself for this price.
Selling to them is different from buying from them. As a seller, what do you want? Payment, and no complaints. You seem to sell nice, honest coins, so no complaints from the buyer. And they pay before you send the coin, so that's both factors covered. Though I've never dealt with this particular bulk-seller. Joe
This is true, on average a wheatie weight is 0.109 oz give or take a few 0.001so 2387 should weigh 260.183 oz or 16.26 lb. Now to account for some cents weighing more then 0.109 oz is the reason they add a handful to make sure the bidder would be getting at least 2387 cent. At $99.99 for 2387 cents average out to (if my math is right) 2.38 cent each, which is not bad seached or unseached.
