What do you think of the toning and what bearing if any (+/-?) do you think it would have on the so-called "market grade?"
i dont think any its only listed ms60 2.oo i have alot of these 14$ or ms65 the toning maybe more im not into toning so cant say they minted over 108 millon of this date 50 cents
The toning on this coin is not that good there are many that have rainbow toning or end roll toning that are superb and are sought after and can go for a nice premium. I don;t think this one is that unusuale natural toning sorry. But it is a keeper. JC Formerly jazzcoins joe .
It not a SMS but a 1966 roll Kennedy the toning look NT but the cheek show a trace of wear.nice coin! but here what toner that bring in $$$$$$
So the market is pretty much flooded with this "look" on silvers, I take it. Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. EDIT: I like it too, Joe. J_E_L_L_O (sorry, couldn't help it, but that's how the old ad used to go), thanks for those pics!
Photo are from a May of 2008 catalog and there is only 1 toned Kennedy.and it sold last month price I an not sure.
Distinction duly noted Jello, thanks. EDIT: That 66* is good enough to eat! Funny how these clads tone, too, but they do, and can be very wild, and just about any color you can think of, I've seen it.
I have a 1964 end role toned kennedy half dollar were the obverse is just toned and the reverse is not at all. These do bring in a nice premium depending on who wants them of course. My coin has a bronish color along with magenta, orange, green,a little blue near the rims and the fields . Ever toned coin is different in it's apearance tne more the eye apeal and color combination the more valuable the coin is a beautiful natural ocurance. The raibow toned coins are the most desirable ones and do fetch a high premium especially in the Morgan dollars JC formerly jazzcoins Joe
Now that one really does look like a rainbow, Jello, that's really cool. I have many late S-mint DCAMs, and a couple of the 99s have a nice bronze glow around the perimeter.
This is more like a rainbow toned coin when they look like this somewhere over the rainbow.Like a rainbow A rainbow has all the primary colors red , blue, yellow, and some secondary colors also ,green, orange, in them.Primary colors form secondary colors when mixed together. but the blend could happen natually on a coin. A natural artwork of colors. JC Formerly jazzcois Joe
