I purchased this batch from the same old-time collection as my last lots. This time I limited my searching to his coins from the 1940s. All are mint state except for the obviously circulated Egypt, Israel, Notgeld, and the 2-Anna is in EF. I will take some individual photos. Please let me know if you want to see anything in particular. Thanks again for letting me share. Very best regards, collect89
So many world coins in uncirculated condition... I love it man, everytime you post a batch. I'm sure your collection must be growing nicely. Do you categorize and keep some kind of data sheet on all your coins ?
All the data for raw coins is put on the 2x2 coin holder. The front is labeled with the country, date, denomination & often the material (copper, bronze, silver, aluminum, etc). On the back iI've hand written the KM#, price paid & date code. This information has not been put into a data sheet. Sometimes I mount the coin with the obverse facing forward & sometimes it is the reverse. There is an earlier thread titled "How do you store your world coins"
I would love to see the Hungarian and also the Ethiopian one below it, if at all possible :hail: All in all I have to say that they are a lovely collection of coins
1943 Hungary 5 Pengos & 1944 Ethiopia 5 Cent The 1943 Hungary 5 Pengos has a really cool reverse! It is made of Aluminum.
Is that a portrait of Admiral Hothy I wonder? they realy are both lovely and I woudnt have guessed the Hungarian was Aluminium. Thanks for posting them for me. I must try to get the Hungarian one for my collection
eye appeal The Great Britain 1944 3 Pence is really nice condition. The New Zealand is AU with a lot of luster.
The one on the left side with the cup is in hebrew and says Israel, cool coin (they change there currency very often though, i am unsure of the name of the coin)
NICE!!:thumb: Why don't you go ahead and buy all of this guys stuff. Because, man, he has some nice coins! Nice Moroccan Franc, and the Hungarian 5 Pengos is especially beautiful!
Its, 1949, 10 Prutot. And it is a picture of an amphora(a ceramic vase). Can;t tell if it has a pearl or not.
I have a Three Pence coin I have a nice 3 pence coin with cat tails on it , and the george on the front is this worth much?
I have one like the top one n great condition with small scratch and not quiet as shiney is this something i should keep or sale?
The price is a function of the date & the condition. For example, an uncirculated 1944 has a catalog price of about $12. An uncirculated 1948 or 1949 might have an uncirculated catalog price of $500. Typically, the coins trade for $0.25 to $2 in circulated condition. I would need to know more about your coin to give an accurate value.
