Is this a die crack or chip or both?

I think I see some little cracks scattered around, mostly of the retained variety. Can we have closer pictures? Lol.

 

A die crack will cause a raised area hat filled the crack. Yours looks more like a scratch or gouge to me. Doesn't look raised!

 

Yeah I see what you mean. They're not scratches, though. They're cracked plating.
