not to take away from Magman's amazing proof set, but I agree that there were some gorgeous toned coins from the late 50's. Here's a 1957 from my private collection - I just got this photo from Todd!
Hey I think you showed me that And I'm using Todd to photograph a few coins when he PM'd me he said he had "board references" and I said "no need, Charmy raves about you" lol
Yes, I think you may have seen this one, but I didn't get to see yours! And you certainly can't go wrong with Todd taking your photos, that's for sure!!! I think he may even be photoing some of AJ's coins too.
Yeah, that's because I got these in the mail during the show. But I'll be sure to post pictures when I get them (and we'll probably meet in Tucson again too).
That explains it, but if you remember, bring them to Tucson in October, and any other lovely toned coins you find along the way - I'm such a sucker for those pretty rainbows!
lol, I'll remember. Except by then I will have sold two of them. But I'll bring the keepers -- and how knows, some of them may be slabbed by the way, how much does a typical 10 coin 1958 Mint Set go for?
I already have 6 coins with Todd pics, look for them soon on my site. I have several more to ship him next week:thumb:
By the way, again not to take away from Mag's thread, but I gave Todd the rest of my slabbed personal collection coins and he already has photographed them - so if anyone wants to see some toned Indian and Lincoln cents from my personal set, check out the bottom of the photo gallery page on my website (www.thepennylady.com). I put all of them up for "show and tell" and have been posting some of them on the PCGS boards. I just love the way Todd has captured the colors, and it's fun to be able to share them with others now. I'll probably post some of them on CoinTalk in the coming days as well.
