How very exciting!!!! New error found. I was looking through a bunch of the new Lincoln cents and WHAM! There it was.... a Lincoln cent from Denver with no mint mark. I can't explain it. Just amazing. I mean, there is just nothing there. Not even a hint of a mint mark. I was going to keep it, but I just thought this was too good to be true, so I have decided to put it up on ebay. Now, I know some of you are thinking that I should just slow down and think about this, but I have made up my mind, I'm going to sell it. How rare are one of these???? Now I know there are many Lincoln errors that are being found, but this one is totally unique. Maybe I could send it off to a grading company. Someone told me that NGS does a great job or possibly send it off to NTC. How awesome would that be. It just doesn't get any better than this. ;)

It is a certain SG* MS-70 2009- Plain cent. Can't be sure of which reverse die it is, as you didn't show that. Is it "First strike"? Even More.

Ok, now the :D so I don't get in trouble teasing newbies.

    Incredible find Joe.

Now the bad news. Having seen enough of the new Lincoln Cents they're all errors. Never seen worse "new" coins in my life. The quality is horrible.

Okay, I dont know if this is a serious thread or not but how the heck would you ever prove that it came out of a D mintmark roll? Is there something on the coin that would distinguish D and P minted pennies? I dont get how someone would even know it was to be a D minted coin. Help me out on this.

How did you know it was from Denver? Did it "fall" out of a "D" roll? Like justndav76 said, how would you prove that?

Came from Denver he states, he can’t explain, don’t let that fool you.
I have some Denver minted coins that came from Philadelphia, not to say they are minted in Philly.
Mumbapuri mentioned a bump on the head but not on Lincoln’s head comes to mind.
“There is just nothing there” is correct.
    Many deceptions out there.
This can be a lesson for people buying online or elsewhere.
2009 P cent from Denver that is totally unique. (along with many others.)

    Never stop questioning.

Guy, very funny that you mention this...because I was completely shocked on how many finger prints were on so many of the cents. Thoughts of this guy, sitting a chair counting out the cents one by one by putting his finger on them immediately came to mind. I finally pulled a nice Denver one out last night. Probably will go ahead and give it an acetone bath just incase there is any lingering mint employee's finger prints on it. Have not looked through the Philly roll yet.

WoW! You lucky guy and I think I can help you. See, my cousin just overthrew the government in a small country off the coast of Africa.

But for political reasons we need help getting billions out of the country. Could you ship this coin to me (you'll have to pay the postage since all of my millions are in gold and diamonds) and I'll send you the secrete 900 phone number where they will provide you further information.
